Systems Licensing Analyst

Are you highly-organized with innate project management skills and the ability to leverage tools like Microsoft Excel to track down, compile, manage, and draw insight from data?

Our client, a leading global developer of equipment used in the manufacture of bio-pharmaceuticals, is driving a strategic program to develop smart, connected versions of this equipment, at the heart of which is software and automation. In the process of developing this new IoT technology, various commercial and open-source licensing is being leveraged – some client/server, some SaaS-based, some in development, and some in production. Moreover, much of this technology being leveraged (think Microsoft SQL on the IT side, Wonderware on the Ops Technology side) will be embedded in the end products being sold, creating the need for commercial-use licensing, as well. We’re seeking a Systems Licensing Analyst to help compile and organize the growing list of technologies being used in order to maintain visibility into and proactively manage things like cost, risk, licensing renewals, and dependencies across all technologies leveraged in the development of the digital bio-processing products.

Critical Success Factors:

  • Adept with Microsoft Excel – aggregating and modeling data
  • Systems Operations or Analyst background, which provides the basis for understanding of the complex, integrated technology environment
  • Superior organization and prioritization skills; able to manage this over the course of an initial 6 month effort as a project
  • Strong interpersonal skills, specifically supporting the Systems Architect and working with vendors to identify and obtain the required licensing data/documentation
  • Self-directed and disciplined – working together with Systems Architect to create project goals, develop a project strategy to achieve desired outcomes
  • Requirements elicitation skills and project management skills – works with Systems Architect and vendors to define the desired outcomes, what kind of reporting will need to be done and for what audiences, in order to seek out and organize the appropriate data
